Yeah, some of those were pretty lame.

Functionally, though, a gelatinous cube is a moving roadblock that can eat you. I suppose it could surprise you at a hallway intersection, but then this leads to the discussion of how it turns, or if it does in fact turn.

As it is, it was probably a joke based on the Knox blox snacks that were popular for mothers to make at home back in the 70's.

Porcupine cactus is basically a land mine. It's a threat until you recognize it.
There's nothing wrong with Sheboygan that a 20 megaton warhead couldn't fix
