Daisho Con

I'm currently freaking out, as I am a staffer for Detour. But once Registration starts, all I can do is pray for volunteers--anyone interested in volunteering will find us on the ground floor, with loads of swag to give away and directions to special parts of the con.

Back to freaking out--have fun, everyone, wherever you wind up.

I've realised I should go to acen one of my best friends from highschool is a staff member there. I havent seen him in over 5 years and it would be nice to see him again. Does anyone have a spot open in the rooms? I need a place to stay if I cant get ahold of him and or stay at his place.

I dont know how I'll get ahold of him does anyone have any connetions to the ACEN staff or could ask somone if they know steve turner on staff?

Hey I have a request if anyone is going to attend this.

The Dot Hackers at www.dothackers.net are going to host some .Hack panels this year.

If anyone would be so kind enough to attend that, I'd like to hear what people's thoughts are on how Namco-Bandai decided to make the final installment of the .Hack series a game on the PSP, instead of the most accessable (though Outdated) PS2.

I'm still kinda ticked off at that. I'm not gonna go buy a PSP just to play the game.

Last I checked, .hack//GU: Redemption was on the PS2. I own it, in fact. I haven't beaten it, because the voice acting is irritating, but I own it.

Well, they're going to stop making PS2 games eventually, if they haven't already. Maybe by the time this is going to be released, PS2 games will be discontinued. Maybe PSP is a better market because more people own them than PS3s. I dunno, these are just the thoughts running through my head. None of it is confirmed fact.

Yeah I know how outdated the PS2 is, and it's true that the PS3 is still not a good choice to go with just to put the last game on, but neither is the PSP. More people own a DS than a PSP, and I can't afford to buy one just for this one game alone. It's inconvenient to do that. What else do I need a PSP for?

They're still making the occasional PSX or even Dreamcast game over in Japan, and most multi-console games released these days are made on the PS2 out of necessity. No reason why they can't give one last bang for the buck.
