Anime Detour Recap!

So time to play Mythbusters. Anime Detour? Win or Fail? The answer... is indeterminate. But I had fun anyway. Here's the recap:

Nice recap! Always good to read these... see if it's worth going to some of them in the future. :)

Some people thought this year's Detour wasn't as good as previous ones. Mostly because of the hotel itself. There are only 3 elevators to cover 23 floors, and the gaming room is up on the 22nd floor. 1 of the elevators kept breaking down. The security had to make sure nobody was standing around the escalators to keep the flow of traffic clear.

I think the guests of honor did a great job with the panels they hosted. All the AMV panels were just great.

There was plenty of open area to get pictures of the cosplayers, unlike the hallways of the last hotel it took place in.

The dealer room got a little crowded in the back though. That kinda sucked.

It took them an hour and a half over schedual to set up the dance on Friday night. Don't know about Saturday night though. i decided to go Karaoke instead. That was fun!

All in all, I enjoyed the layout for the cosplay opportunities, though some people thought the panels this year weren't as great as they were in the past.

Either way, they'll be holding it in a new hotel next year anyway, so we'll just have to see what we get.
