Hey,

I'm looking into going to Milwauke for a con with a bunch of friends... any of you going to be there? And what should I expect? Their website, sadly, isn't quite as well organized as Daisho's. :)

It's very small, kind of like No Brand was for the first couple years. Something like 200 people when I went last year. Panels are solid but at a premium, video game room is solid for most conventions but pales compared to No Brand or Daisho. Vendor room's pretty good. As long as you plan on spending a lot of time loafing about and socializing, it's still pretty fun.

Last year and this year I have gone on Saturday only.

If things work out (I should know by this weekend, beginning of next week) I'll be going at least for both Fri and Sat. Sunday depends on when we'd be leaving to come back here.

And socializing is fun. Random Geeking is always a good thing. :)

Oh, and I'll be the one in street clothes, but the Prince of Persia's gauntlet. It's looking pretty good so far. :)

Yup - last weekend in February/First in March. I'll be there, in the artist alley trying to make monnies.

Can't decided what I'm going to cosplay yet.

Heh, cool, probably see you there then. :)

I'm finishing up hotel reservations with the group I'm going with... I guess they'll be about 13 of us, although only 1 is cosplaying, and I'm mini-cosplaying with just the glove. Still, that should be enough to crash the dance. :P

Yeah, should be plenty enough to crash the dance. It wasn't their most popular venue last year as I recall.

Hmm, perhaps we can change that....

And any word if they have a schedule up yet? I'd like to start planning what panels I'll go do that weekend.

Could check the website, I'm not pretending to know any more information than you do. They're a bit disorganized, and the friends I do have UWMIL are too busy with all their stuff.

little late on this post, oh well.
I'm going with my Japanese club on saturday, (yay!) I'll probably be cosplaying Rika Furude from Higurashi Kai.

Going to be there for sure now... Doing the Axel street-style cosplay again.

Might not actually be in the artist alley any more, but I'm running a panel at the very least.

Another con that we're skipping. It was planned, but the whole purpose was so that one of our members could chase after a girl(The blue haired guy from Daisho..Mad Hatter). He screwed up a lot this semester with interpersonal relationships, so the trip got canceled, even though he didn't get informed of the change. :/

Yup, you got most of it there. I don't think much more needs to be said.

Except maybe to reiterate the fact that they really should have screened some of the cosplay entries. God, as much as I love hyper swedish techno-pop, I think I might hurl if I ever hear the Caramelle Dansen again.
