I've created this thread as a place to put up my poetry. As many of my friends know I like to draw and paint and things but the only thing I'm actually very good at is poetry. So here for your pleasure is some of my work.

[align=center]Love Fur Warmth

The squirrels running up the trees
Remind the ephemeral state of love.
Love is the cute fuzzy creature
That intrigues us.
We watch as it flits about
Captures us, entrances us,
Then disappears
We walk under the tree
Desperately searching
For the quick little beast
That has stolen a kiss
And broken our hearts.





I can Smell Life in Your Hair
The sun carves shadows
when last the streaks of light
play through your hair

it seems now that I'll never know
the heat of your lips
against my eyes

the warmth of your smile
pressed to my neck
as you take comfort in my arms

never rest my hand in yours
or my head on your shoulder






Bad Rock
The overpowered drums
Bounce and jump off the walls
As I watch the band play.
My heart bounces around
In my chest
And echoes in my ears
The true sound of the band
Shines through the noise
The clashing, knocking, sounds ring true
Forming the most harmonious melody
When I watch next to her.[/align]

You can put this in the Reading and writing section.

But otherwise, I like it.

I suppose but I don't like to separate poetry from any other art. Besides I feel like that section is more for like books and stuff. THis is more of an artistic submission.

Its not that poetry isn't art, that wasn't what I was saying. I was just saying that maybe we should keep writings in the reading section. This section is for picture type art or at least thats the impression I got, but you are kinda right poetry and writing is an art, and we really don't have a section for it. I'm gonna go put in a request.
