Star Trek 11. I, as a devout Trekkie with TOS as my favorite Trek, am very excited for this film.

Best Star Trek quote of all time:

Mr. Sulu: "Captain, I'm being chased by a samurai!"

That samurai was me. Well, I pretended it was me. It was actually some random Asian fellow dressed in cardboard armor...so the idea of me, a giant bipedal pointer dog chasing Mr. Sulu is just as valid.

I'm definitely a TNG-er, so of course my favorite movie would be First Contact... DS9 and Voyager weren't that bad at all, but Enterprise.... *shudder*

So, I'm very excited! The movie premieres this week, on Wednesday over here. And since Marburg is such a film city, the first two showings are in the original English! I am quite excited.

Something that I really appreciate about Europe is that many cities show films in their original language and subtitle them for the theatrical release (Paris takes great pride in this especially) People understand/feel that dubbing over someone's work perverts the original feel of the film.
Spittin' is a nasty habit...

I liked it. Very much. I'll have to see it again to make sure I didn't miss anything before I write a review.

It was great, so many Germans at the theater were in Starfleet uniforms!

Cosplay is never creepy, unless it's crosplay. And remember no costume is no costume.
Given that I would never live that down, I made a wisecrack instead. "Do you have a little white dress? I've had this deep-seated nurse fantasy about you, Murphy."
