Chocolate Covered Fritters And So Can You!

Alright let’s stack em up, and let them duke it out. Old Gen vs. New Gen. "Games” which games will come out on top if there was a brawl amongst them all? My vote personally would be Mario 3 since its literally the babe magnet of the old gen system games; but this is up to you. So let’s hear what you have to say.

I have 2 black sheeps that need to be mentioned in this.

Old School: Riven: The Sequel to Myst. Beautiful Graphics. Amazing score. Intensely creepy bad guy. Insane, and yet entirely logical puzzles. Memorable moments, like when you realize you are being watched, no matter where you go... And who can forget the boat ride and your first look at the infamous Age of Tay, as on the cover art? A true underrated classic.

New School: Beyond Good and Evil. Graphics and Voice Acting that has aged very well in the 5 years since its release. A tale that seems like your traditional "fight off the alien invasion" storyline, but it's so much deeper, digging into government conspiracy, rebellion, propoganda.... really makes you question things. And the scene 2/3rds of the way through at the lighthouse makes me cry everytime. Maybe eventually we'll get Beyond Good And Evil 2, like we're being teased. Hopefully.

Two good choices; but I might choose a different route. My old gen system game would have to be Double Dragon/Battle Toads: The Ultimate Team for the Nes, and my New gen system would have to be Halo 2 on the Xbox. It was the first time I played a well put together first person shooter online, and with the rating system. That made it all the more worth to waste as many hours possible on the game. LoL
