Chris Reviews: A “B” Movie

Laser Hawk

Take Luke Skywalker, The Kid From Free Willy, and some bad acting, and you have Laser Hawk. Its hard to decide where to begin with this movie, the basis, humans were planted on earth as a crop so that aliens could come by later and eat us, and guess what has to save us, the Laser Hawk. The plot in the beginning wasn't totally bad, and the acting was made for TV movie/lifetime movie style, so it was bearable, but as the movie progressed it continued to diverge from the core of aliens, crazy dudes that know about the government, and kids that conveniently find out about it. It instead turns into an almost Race to Witch Mountain(The Old One) with a reveal about the kids, and the death of Mark Hamill is easily one of the saddest death scenes, not because of the context, but because he is shot several times, and then blown up. I watched this movie twice, once alone, and once with a group of friends. Watching this movie with friends makes is much more bearable, as you can laugh as the convenient plot holes, bad acting, terrible movie FX, and just over all plot silliness. But over all, it was better than PoultryGeist.
And since it was in the dollar bin at Walmart, I didn't waste tons of money on it.

Rating: Laser Hawk attained a rating of NR as it was independently released, which can be likened to PG-13

Genre: Scifi/ Thriller

Parts To Watch Out For:
Most of the acting, all of the acting, Mark Hamill's terrible acting, Any Scene with the aliens in it.

Parts To Watch:
Mark Hamill's Death, any scene with the aliens in it, the fact it takes place in Wisconsin.

7/10:

7 out of 10 means you should borrow it from me only to watch it with friends or laugh at it.
