Will there be caffinated beverages involved?

I forgot, thanks, We are working on getting soda at the con suite!!!! But it is still in the works.

Caffeine is always good to have

OddCon in Madison and ConVergence in Minneapolis are known for having top notch con suites. OddCon is this weekend and I will be at No Brand Con with many of you, but if you are able to make ConVergence (which is a pretty spectacular con in its own right) you might be able to get some ideas or pick someone's brain about how they organize it.

At least at ConVergence hot food seems to be a big draw. They have the advantage of having it in a hotel suite with a kitchenette.

We have to be careful on what we serve. The hotel has several contracts with the food establishments that are located inside it regarding food. Those contracts place restrictions on what goes on in the conference hall. so that means for us

- we cans serve snacks
- food / drinks are not allowed in the conference area


so, that means the consuite has to be in the pool area, and any food gotten from the suite has to be consumed in the pool area. I am working on getting a few tables and chairs set up so con goers can enjoy their refreshments. thanks

Hey Guys, I just need a shout out of what kind of conidments to have for the rice. Soy sauce is a no brainer, but do you guys want anything else? I know at Anime Detour that had a bunch but I didnt pay attention. I also need a shout out for vegitables, right now there is a debate on weather or not veggies would go over well? And i desided to ask you guys. Another question I have , Spoons, forks or sporks?

If you are putting the consuite in one of those first floor rooms that open out into the pool area, I highly recommend getting any and all room parties on that floor.

That set up is similar to the one that is used at both Convergence and WindyCon in that the rooms have a secondary door that opens out to the pool area. Both of those cons are known for their room parties. I know that someone in our group will try and get a suite that looks out onto the pool.

It would be reasonable if the hotel wanted to limit all food and beverages to the party rooms to keep their liability down and the pool area clean. Convergence sends out a 19 page party manual letting the room parties know what is and is not allowed. Granted, that excess has a lot to do with the amount of alcohol involved, but the result of coordinating party rooms usually means for better parties and less irritated non con guests.

@ Belldandy: I vote chopsticks if we can get them. I'm assuming that a lot of congoers can use them though, and I'm not entirely sure how true that is. Otherwise, sporks all the way.

@ Vulass: Yes, caffeine is very good. I loves Vulaas and his caffeine.

I can't use chopsticks for anything other than to shovel food. I never learned how to use them properly.

Hot sauce for the rice please? :D Nom nom. Hot sauce makes everything better, even ice cream. Spicy ice cream = win.

So is this one of the two room suite deals? I called Ramada about the rooms, and that sounds nice, if not a bit pricey. Are the regulars shooting for poolside? What's going on??!! Why are the squirrels taking my nuts???!!!

What about having some cup oh Ramen?

Daishocon had free Ramen last year, so it'll be returning this time as well.
