A logistics question. What kind of paint would be recommended for putting large yellow numbers on a denim-like fabric, preferably washable, and what kinda store would I find it at?

...Fabric paint? Available at Michael's. Or probably most craft stores. Or acrylic as long as you get a mix-in that makes it into fabric paint, again it should be found with the fabric paint in a craft store. Only other option would be straight up silkscreen ink, but you have to know how to use that right and make sure it's dried and ironed correctly in order to make it stay. http://www.artsupply.com/speedball/silkscreen.htm

Iron on transfers or applique patches might be easier, I don't know how well the iron on would be on denim though.

Its not really denim, but it does have a very dense weave, 100% cotton.

Well, it should work then. Just get some fabric paint. Used it to put the yellow Rs on my team rocket shirts.
