Ok here it goes.
I love to write, and I love to play D&D, followed by that fact that I am in love with Cthulhu and anything Lovecraft.
That being said, I have been, am currently, and will be planning a cross-over Cthulhu D&D campaign.
I've put almost two months of work into the campaign so far, and I like how it looks. Most of the Lovecraftian creatures that I wanted to include didn't have stats, so I've had to make them from scratch. Now here is the point where people say one of two things, One: check Google - I have, and I really did find anything That I liked, so I made my own, Two: why don't you just play the Call Of Cthulhu game - Because I love d&d thats why.
So I'm looking for some more people that want to be involved. I of couse (If you couldn't tell) will be DMing the game.
So here is the plan.
I am going to have two parties, One of do good PCs that slowly find out about the ever present threat of Cthulhu and other Praeternatureal Creatures(The Name for Lovecraftian Monsters). This group of PCs will not no that the other group is out there, and even meta won't know they are playing a game. This is where the fun starts. after about two for three sessions with each group I want to have the two groups meet, but this won't be a friendly meeting since the second group will be a group of evil adventurers summoned by Cthulhu to deal with the other PCs any way they can: Killing them, leading them off the right path, Converting them...
I already have the first group picked since they can't know the Meta about the campaign, but I need a group of trusty fun people that would like to play evil characters given powers from Cthulhu.
If in the end the two parties decide to fight, which ever one wins will have one or two sessions after that, but the party that dies is done. So I need people that can play with that knowledge that if their party is defeated, they are done.
Anyone interested?
I can post up more of the rules and specs of the game, once I have them done.
I will be hand making eight different prestige classes that are Cthulhu based, At least six new spells, and tons of fun magic items.
If any of that strikes your fancy post here, of if you have any suggestions, I'm open to all of them.
