So this seems to bother me a whole lot. I notice every time I watch X-Play (which isn't a whole lot but occassionally) I seem to see the same things.

Like when X-Play does their choice of game of the years. I notice they make all kinds of categories and some seem to single out Nintendo in my opinion like Best Graphics being Nintendo focuses a little more into Gameplay. Often in categories that Nintendo can Compete with like Best Game Play or Best Sound Track, it seems like they X-Play chooses a Playstation of X-Box Game. Then again When I saw the episode where they chose this, it was in 2007 so I missed 2008. I was annoyed that Nintendo made it it once on a list and didn't win in that one list.

I noticed at the E3 coverage they gave Nintendo recognition but it felt like it was maybe a moment of spotlight and the rest was dedicated to Sony and Microsoft. Maybe I'm just paranoid over the deal but I just feel Nintendo doesn't get the same attention it used to get. I somewhat stopped watching X-Play regularly because I felt it was just critics. But I'm curious if you guys think X-play hates Nintendo or not.

Well I wouldn't say that they hate nintendo. I watch a lot of X-play and I don't think they discriminate against any console. What I'm thinking is that they are a network program that reviews video games, its not exactly CNN. They have to go for a few of the harder hitters for the on-air reviews, which, like it or not, dose usually fall in the x-box and ps3 catagories. Also they really do focus on what a game is going for, if the game looks like crap but the gameplay is fantastic I can garenttee you it will get at least a 4/5.

As far as best of E3, did you see all of their awards? I'm just saying a lot of them were not on-air. I'm not yelling at you or anything, I havent looked myself. I just think they are the product of a bigger viewer fanbase of ps3 and xbox owners as all those little grandmas that purchased a wii don't really watch their show. Even so, typically their reviews center around what's comming out that week.

All reviewing magazines/sites/shows/etc. are biased against Nintendo since they are not a "typical game developer". It's what makes them the best, but also alienates all of the one-dimensional gamers out there (of which there are LOTS)

Yeah I understand Zack. Pretty much Nintendo Power is the only magazine that won't dis Nintendo. And I think you too Nightstalker are right about majority of G4 viewers being Xbox and PS3 gamers. But I can't help but still think Adam Sessler isn't the biggest fan of Nintendo and Morgan Webb sorta has to make Nintendo still feel good.

However I think everyone will agree that the Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda will go down in history as 2 of the best game series in existence.

You should've been there when they were doing the top 5 games of all time for various areas. I think some form of zelda got in the top 5 for all time. But the one I really remember was the best 5 soundtracks of all time. Zelda series won they specifically mentioned the 5 tones you get when you find something important . *don, don, don, don, DON!"

The gaming community at large lacks respect for Nintendo because Nintendo has a better marketing strategy that doesn't cater to hardcore gamers. Nintendo's games are rarely as formulaic as the other systems bug sellers. CoD, Halo, etc are all fairly interchangeable. The Ps3 has yet to impress me beyond being an awesome movie player. MGS4 should have hit theaters. Gamers seem to be inherently opposed to changes in how they game so they dislike Nintendo. My arguments are horribly flawed, I know this. Sadly it's also largely why hardcore gamers hate Nintendo. Personally I just want an end to friend codes.

I wouldn't go as far to say that hardcore gammers hate nintendo, I would rather think of it that they have "better" things to do. I mean I'm not as hardcore as some, but I love my occational animal crossing, harvest moon, wario ware esque layed-back game. This is not to say I dont like my CoD and Halo as well, but there is something just about playing Harvest moon for like 5 hours. And I can't even manage to get my wii online -.-

Actually that is one thing I would love to see Nintendo Improve on. The Online Play. They doing fairly good so it's sorta a can't complain deal. But I wish we could increase our capabilities for communication. Wii Speak is a start but I'd love to see Nintendo improve on it and make online play better with Wii Speak and maybe even increase keyboard chat. I know Nintendo most likely won't do that but it's something I'd love to see Nintendo try on.

Imagine if games like Wii Sports went online. I think Wii Sports would be beneficial online.

Hardcore gamers don't hate Nintendo....

It's Halo, Madden, COD, Grand Theft Auto, etc. fanboys that hate Nintendo (one-dimensional gamers).

Grand Theft Auto III killed the gaming industry. Anyone who doesn't understand this should probably go and browse the LIDS at the mall...

X-play hates everyone... especially Fullmetal Alchemist fans.

Ever since Charter moved G4 to channel 82 and left basic cable to end at channel 53, I haven't been able to see Morgan ManJaw or Adam Staplemygroin in a long time.

Hah, you've missed a lot my friend...they hardly do comedy anymore...

like once every 4 ish episodes do you get a skit out of them

Well I will still X-Play on occasion but I think I will view them like Critics. Being Critics hate everything good and love everything that's bad.
