I figured out why the people I can't stand are the people I can't stand.
I honestly have a healthy dislike of few people. It's a small but growing list. Mostly it centers around a few things.
First off, disrespect of women. I believe in chivalry and anybody that doesn't gets no respect from me. This is old. I like to think someday this viewpoint will earn enough karma to work for me. So far it hasn't, but I stick to my beliefs pretty tightly.
The other group is people who don't realize the effects of their negativity or just don't care. I have pretty much lost my ability to be friends with some people over this. Whether it be excessive whining, or pushing of a truly negative viewpoint, it drives me nuts. I fully admit life sucks. That's fine. That isn't a reason to continually bitch. Nor is it a reason to treat those around you like crap. Life isn't supposed to be easy or fun. If it was then we would all be born with excessive endorphin generation. Just because your not happy isn't a good reason to push that on everybody else. It's all the more reason to appear happy and do your best to make those around you happy.
I guess I'm pushing emotional socialism. Happy people, even falsely happy ones, cause other happy people. It's the people who refuse to be happy that ruin the whole system and it drives me nuts. Be happy for the people around you. Life could be a lot better, but it could be so much worse.
