Because I don't want to answer to a master that's why I'm free baby yeah! plus I'm decedent to Irish sailors of the dobins clan and who says that pirates are slow you know how much work and speed it takes to man a gallion threw a storm? ask your lil ninja buddy nagano the current champion of ninja warrior. that's right hes a sailor! so yeah out of anyone I'ld say pirates have the nack to fight toe to toe with a ninja.

Also remember pirates had to go up against he military they were masters of strategy and gorilla tactics. They didnt have some master who took care of them and feed them. Pirates took what they needed and answered to no one!

but it's funny cause they say that you fight in a healthy relationship, and that's the only thing we've argued about so far.

For the subject in hand. NINJA! The pirates while deadly have an alternate agenda, they want your stuff. While the ninja just wants your life. The pirate does indead have a pistol but have you ever fired a black powder pistol. It takes at least a minute to load the darn thing. They are horribly inaccurate, plus if the powder gets wet, (on the ocean!) its game over no boom. while the ninja rely on knifes darts and other deadly sharp objects.

You forgot to mention that pirates also rely on an entire pirate crew to do this looting.

Which by anime logic makes Pirates clearly superior. Teamwork makes people more capable etc. So anime favors pirates making pirates win more.

the pirate's black power pistol is rarely used its commonly used as a cudgel or a last resort. proper sword fighting is emphasized over all. if the other persons sword fighting techniques were showing to be more effective than your own you pulled out the gun. sorry pirates are much more deadly than ninja. I don't see how a pirates agenda matters either.
