Daisho Con

So, for the first time I actually went to the Tempura House in plover. Usually we just order their food. For those of you who don't know, the Tempura House is a Japanese/Chinese restaurant. I'm not completely sure on this, but on their paper place mats they had a big Local Stevens Point/Plover Events section. I'm not sure if they charge to get your event on it, but considering they had a gaming convention and a few charity events I doubt it. Just something to possibly ask to have our little con be put on. From what I saw you would have to ask roughly 4 to 5 months in advance.

You should consider calling up Midwest Communications to try and advertise DaishoCon on radio stations like 95.5 WIFC while you're at it.

I'd be happy to put up posters at Mid-State here in Rapids, and I can ask if I can put up some posters at Marshfield High School as well. Might as well hit up some of the local schools when the fall semesters begin.

how much dose radio advertisment usually cost?

Ehh well that's something you'd have to call them about, but I hear WIFC advertising all the time that advertising through thier parent company has helped businesses out pretty well in the past.

Check into community calendars on the TV stations.

Recently Demicon in Des Moines found that they could get ads on the local cable system for an amazingly low price. They're smaller than DaishoCon, so you might want to look into it as well.

Try channel 7,9 and 55, they usually hold announcements for free
