The Return of some real heroes

Postby Sargimus Prime on Mon Oct 13, 2008 3:04 pm

Yep GI Joe is back and ready to fight for freedom wherever there's trouble, in a new comics series being published IDW (the same company that publishes Transformers). A preview for the 0 issues is now online and if it is any indication this new series should be good, or should I say three new series.

That's right IDW is producing 3 ongoing GI Joe titles, GI Joe Origins written by Larry Hama, GI Joe Cobra by Christos Gage and The main book writtern by non other than Chuck Dixon, who was a pretty big writer over at DC.

In any case it looks like GI Joe is in for an awesome new begining.

Take a look for yourself.

Until then

Wait, G.I. Joe is back?! My friend and I used to play with the action figures for hours on end. That's cool that they're doing some work with it again.

So, I am traumatized. I spent my entire life believing the phrase was "Go Joe!" and now I have learned differently. Sadness...

Oy, don't remind me, there are certain aspects of the animated series and movie that remind me why I preferred the comic.

Time to revive this thread. Joe comics are still relatively awesome. Both GI Joe 1 and 2 show that this new series is off to a good start. Also Origins written by the infamous Larry Hama is looking like it shall be amazing (with a psycho villian to boot). Also GI joe can be especailly fun in Dramatic readings (one I sat through by the always amazing Nick Izumi).
