hey you have time to come over any extra to work on Katana's? if we are going to try and have a special Pirate vs ninja battle, I should have a few more of those and the sabres.

Sure. I still need to make my secondary weapon anyway. Tomorrow would work perfectly, I can just head over after class. Wednesday I'm supposed to be getting drunk. Thursday is normal stuff. Oh...I need to find someone who can style a wig too..

this should look better anyway, our first show was "everything we had in weapons, and only like two keyblades made" since I got two weeks notice to do the show.

At least this time I will have more than 2 shields, and most of the weapons will look like "something" rather than just sticks. I figure by NEXT daishocon, we will have everything done, and banners up ect.

Part of merging boffers and cosplay is that they have to look good, or the cosplayers feel, well, silly. Amtgard (or dagohir) things tend to functional over form, so you get simpiler, less decorative weapons. Folks just felt cooler, with the Katana, than a long boffer

And sometimes it better to look cool, than win.

Since I've been going to some Amtgard things I keep thinking "Wow, they really put a lot more effort into their apperance than we do (costume-wise). I suppose Dagorhir weapons tend to look a bit more realistically shapped though.
